Who is this for? #
A District Admin in Presto Assistant who needs to add assistants to help manage district information.
Tip
District Assistants have the same permissions as the District Administrator, except they cannot add or remove other District Assistants.
Prerequisites #
You should have a Presto Assistant District account. If you need a district, please consult this support article for detailed steps on how to create a district.
Detailed steps #
- On the Admin Dashboard, find the card that mentions "District Assistants". Press the "View District Assistants" button.
You can also access the District Assistants page from the district settings page, found here: Gear icon > Settings > District Actions.
- Click the "Add" button at the top of the table.
- Enter the information for the new District Assistant.
Tip
The district assistant should use this email when creating their Presto Assistant login.
- Hit the ENTER key or press the Add District Assistant button at the bottom of the form.
After you submit the form, the system will:
- Create their district member profile for your district
- Fire off a “Welcome Email” to the new assistant
Next steps #
- The newly-added District Assistant should have an email in their inbox with a Member Claim Code used to set up their user profile, fill out any missing information, and start using Presto Assistant!
- Share this article with the new District Assistant to help them get started.
- The new assistant will appear in the District Assistant table.
- All directors will be able to see all district members — administrators and assistants — on their settings page.
Troubleshooting #
When a District Assistant tries to add another District Assistant, they will see a message indicating that only a District Administrator can add a District Assistant, including the name and email of the District Administrator.
