Who is this for? #
Any Admin or Admin Assistant whose district is rostering data into Presto Assistant (see Set Up Automatic Rostering) and needs to connect that data to the correct organizations in Presto.
What is RosterSync by Campus? #
This is step 2 of setting up RosterSync, after Set Up Automatic Rostering and before Using RosterSync.
RosterSync by Campus is where an Admin connects each campus (school) coming from your rostering source to the Presto organization it belongs to — for example, connecting "Lincoln High School" from your SIS export to the "Lincoln High School Band" organization in Presto.
Tip
This connecting step is required before directors can do anything with RosterSync. Until a Presto organization is connected to a rostered campus, directors in that organization won't see any rostered classes to connect to their groups.
An organization can only be connected to one campus at a time, and each campus can be connected to one or more organizations (for example, if a district runs both a band and a choir program out of the same school).
Before You Begin #
- Confirm your district is already rostering data into Presto — see Set Up Automatic Rostering.
Connect Organizations to Campuses #
Go to the Integrations section on the Admin Portal settings page.
Find the "RosterSync by Campus" card and press the "Manage" button.
Select the By Organizations tab. This lists all of your district's Presto organizations, along with any campus each is currently connected to.
Find the organization you want to connect. If it doesn't have a campus assigned yet, press the "Assign" button.

- In the "Assign to Campus" dialog, search for and select the correct campus, then press "Save".
Once connected, the organization's row shows the assigned campus as a chip.
Connect Campuses to Organizations #
If you'd rather work campus-by-campus (useful if one campus needs to be connected to several organizations):
From the "RosterSync by Campus" screen, select the By Campus tab. This lists all of the campuses found in your rostered data, along with any organizations currently connected to each.
Find the campus you want to connect, and press its "Assign" button.
In the "Assign to Organizations" dialog, search for and select one or more Presto organizations, then press "Save".
Tip
Removing an organization from this dialog before saving unassigns it from that campus.
Connected campuses show one chip per assigned organization.
Remove a Connection #
How you remove a connection depends on which tab you're using:
- By Organizations — press the icon button next to the campus chip on the organization's row, then confirm the removal in the dialog that appears.
- By Campus — press the edit icon button on the campus's row to reopen the "Assign to Organizations" dialog, remove the organization from the selection, then press "Save". There's no separate confirmation step for this tab.
Removing a connection doesn't delete any data — it just disconnects the organization from that campus, which will prevent directors in that organization from connecting groups to rostered classes until it's connected again.
Next steps #
- Share Using RosterSync with your directors so they can connect their groups to rostered classes and start reviewing roster updates.
Troubleshooting #
- If a director says they don't see any rostered classes when connecting groups, confirm their organization has been connected to a campus using the steps above.
- If you don't see the campus you're looking for, confirm with whoever manages your SIS export that data for that campus has actually been rostered into Presto (via SFTP or ClassLink), and that a sync has completed.
- Remember that an organization can only be connected to one campus at a time — if the organization you're trying to assign doesn't show a campus you expect, it may already be connected elsewhere.
